2A USA investing $32 million in Auburn expansion, creating 50 jobs
An Italian automotive supplier is making another major investment in Auburn, putting $32 million into an expansion expected to create 50 jobs.
Gov. Kay Ivey announced Wednesday that 2A USA will expand its manufacturing facility in Auburn, increasing its capacity to cast and machine complex, large aluminum components for the heavy truck industry.
The expansion will strengthen the company’s ability to produce advanced aluminum components in the United States for the North American heavy truck industry.
“Advanced manufacturing is a pillar of Alabama’s economy and 2A USA’s presence and growth in our state is a testament to its products and company standards,” Ivey said. “It is also a strong vote of confidence in Alabama’s workforce and our pro-business environment.”
The latest investment continues more than a decade of growth for the company in Auburn.
