SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Detpak USA (Detpak), a global packaging supplier supporting quick-service restaurants and other retail customers, announced that its first U.S. manufacturing operation will be built in Spartanburg.
Officials said that Detpak’s new 175,000-square-foot production facility, located at 2781 New Cut Road, will create over 50 new jobs during its initial phase.
Formed in 1981, Detpak is a subsidiary of Detmold Group (Detmold), an Australian company that produces premium packaging solutions. The companies sell into 45 countries and have manufacturing operations in eight. Detmold also has two existing U.S. sales operations in Los Angeles and Tampa.
“With the addition of over 50 new jobs in Spartanburg County, Detpak’s decision to open its first American manufacturing plant in the Upstate is a win for South Carolina,” Gov. Henry McMaster shared. “We are proud to welcome Detpak and look forward to the company’s continued success in our state.”
Operations are expected to be online in August 2026.
