Duties & Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership: Act as the Responsible Pharmacist, leading the dispensary team to deliver exceptional patient care, medication management, and advanced clinical services (including Pharmacy First, NMS, flu, and travel vaccinations).
- Community Engagement: Build trusted links with local surgeries, GPs, and stakeholders to actively drive prescription volume and unlock the branch’s growth capacity.
- Team Development: Supervise, mentor, and optimize the daily workflow of a stable, skilled support team of dispensers and technicians.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee medication dispensing processes, ensuring absolute accuracy, safety, and inventory/stock control in line with legal guidelines.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), NHS standards, and pharmaceutical legislation.
Requirements
- GPhC Registration: You must be a qualified Pharmacist registered (or eligible for immediate registration) with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in the UK.
- Clinical Drive: A strong interest or proven track record in delivering advanced community clinical services (Pharmacy First / NMS).
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with previous pharmacy management experience being a plus.
- Organisation: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage dispensary operations effectively in a fast-paced environment.
