Parcel delivery company Evri Group has today announced plans to recruit more than 10,000 people across the UK, as it prepares for its busiest period of the year and “responds to growing parcel demand”. The delivery company, which said it now handlesdmore than one billion parcels a year, is embarking on “a major recruitment drive to support its expanding delivery network, as it targets further growth in the years ahead”.
It said the majority of the roles were within Evri’s courier network, where more than 7,000 self-employed positions are available, with opportunities enabling people to deliver parcels in their local communities, following flexible working patterns and the ability to build delivery rounds close to home.
A further 2,000 owner-driver positions are also available within Evri Premium – A Network of DHL, the group’s premium delivery network.
In what it said was a first for the business, applicants do not necessarily need their own van, with the company introducing a new “no van, no problem” option aimed at widening access to the roles.
The recruitment drive comes after what it said was a strong year for the company, which reported revenue growth of 29% and parcel volume growth of 17%, following its merger with DHL eCommerce UK and with the enlarged group setting its sights on delivering 1.4 billion parcels annually by 2030.

Successful applicants can access benefits through Evri’s partnership with Onsi, including early access to pay, GP appointments and retail discounts.
Eligible couriers can also receive support towards switching to an electric vehicle through the company’s Go Electric scheme.
