All eligible applications are reviewed by our recruitment team, and appropriate candidates will then progress through the following steps:
- Interview – An online interview will be arranged,
- References – preferred candidates will have their references checked, and
- Visa applications – the recruitment team will submit a visa nomination for the successful candidate.

Relocation support
There may be funds available to help successful candidates with their relocation expenses when moving to Western NSW from outside Australia. These incentive packages are available for eligible positions only and our recruitment team can advise if this applies to your new role.

The Welcome Experience program
The Welcome Experience is a free NSW Government service supporting essential workers moving to regional NSW.
‘Local Connectors’ are based in the communities and will help connect you and your family with local people and local resources, helping you settle into your new life in Western NSW. They can help with many things, including:
- finding housing,
- choosing childcare,
- exploring job opportunities for partners,
- even introducing you to your neighbours!
Ongoing education and training

When you start a new role in Western NSW, you will be given a complete orientation at the health facility where you are based.
All rural generalist nurses starting work with us will also undertake training for two weeks at the Centre for Rural Education, Simulation and Training (CREST) in Wellington, NSW. This training will ensure you have the knowledge and tools to perform your job in line with the appropriate Australian healthcare standards and practices.
